The Who Revealed
I was asked a while back if I could provide the text for a new book on the band called 'The Who Revealed'. It's a series of books, which has already seen editions on the Stones and Led Zeppelin released where 150 photographs and accompanying text is used to tell the bands story. It's by no means a concise history of the band and isn't meant to be, just a number of snapshots of certain time periods within the bands career. Anyway, I agreed to do it and am pleased (and relieved) to say that with an early 4.30am start this morning I finished the text with a few days of the deadline to spare! Probably around 20,000 words in total the book should be released sometime in September.
The format was strict with each entry restricted to around 100 words which, when you're dealing with something like Lifehouse for example, isn't easy but I think it reads well. Its a re-telling of the story, without any new major revelations although Pete was helpful and gave some enlightening responses. It was good to work on events post Keith too and will help with the framework for AAA volume two.
That's what's been taking my time up in the main recently and is one of the reasons why the updates here have been sparse and has also affected the updating of the photo galleries. Hopefully I can start putting all that in order again now.
